Employer Contributions

  • Employers are required to pay a portion of their employee's premium. Depending on the carrier you may choose between fixed dollar or percentage contributions. We offer contribution options as low as 25% or flat dollar amounts as low as $50.
  • Employer contributions can be 100% tax deductible on your state and federal income taxes. You may be able to deduct other coverage related costs, like contributions to employee's health savings accounts.

      • Employee Participation

      • Small companies are required to have an average employee participation requirement of 75%. Employees with eligible waivers are not considered when calculating the employee participation requirements.
      • Eligible waivers include employees with Medicare, Medical, military, or those covered by a spouses's group plan or parent's employee sponsored group plan.

          • DE-6 or quarterly tax a wage statement from the previous calendar quarter
          • Fictitious business license or statement of information
          • The most recent 30 days of payroll register for newly hired employees
          • The most recent prior carrier health insurance bill listing the names of subscribers
